When we first opened our doors in 2003 at our site in Burscough, we were a small company with some big wheels and even bigger ambitions. From knowing the industry, the founders knew that customers could go and buy tractors and machinery from other dealerships. However, the key to gaining a competitive advantage and differentiating ourselves from the competition lay in providing an outstanding level of after sales service. So from the start, and still today, exceeding customers’ expectations has been the driving force behind how our company operates. Our customers value the security that if any issues arose with their machine, a fully trained technician could be there the same day with genuine spare parts to fix it. Because of this continuous commitment we now have over 5000 loyal customers and this figure is growing all the time.
As well as the ability to understand the needs of the market we also know that the key to further distinguish ourselves from the competition lies in the people who work for us. The experience of our sales and the aftersales team is second to none. The continued investment in their training in the products we sell and service keeps us ahead of the game. Most of our staff have been here from the beginning, and were in the industry even before that, and others have been brought through from apprentice level and have learnt on the job from senior technicians, so have genuine unrivalled expertise. We are proud of our ability to retain our staff and we work our upmost to make everyone a valued part of our growing team.
Over the years we, through our successes, have been awarded contracts to be the main dealership in the North West for the industry leaders of Massey Ferguson, Fendt, Kverneland and Honda as well as supplying JCB products to the market. Along the way we have also won numerous awards, including being the first recipients of the ‘Agri Machinery Trade Dealer Excellence Award’ for the north region earlier this year.
In addition to gaining new contracts with additional manufacturers, part of our company’s expansion plans included gaining more territory in which to sell our products. We are delighted to announce that the first major step in this has recently taken place with the acquisition of a two-acre site on Garstang Road in Claughton On Brock, Garstang, which was previously trading as Whittingham Farm Supplies. To coincide with this, we were also awarded another contract from AGCO to supply their Valtra tractors and machines to the region, from both of our sites, reaching from the west coast to as far as Teebay to the north, Harrogate to the east and the M56 to the south. Our Fendt territory has also been increased to now stretch as far as the Yorkshire borders and Morecambe.

There are big investment plans for the site in Garstang, including new structures, frontage and signage and we also intend to create more jobs in the future as business grows and the demand for more technicians and sales staff increases.
