APPRENTICE TECHNICIANS – Hardworking and self motivated 16-21 year old apprentice technicians to join our service team. You will train along side senior technicians whilst studying at college for your level 2 and 3 Engineering Apprenticeship Qualification.

AGRICULTURAL ENGINEER – Experienced Agricultural Engineers to strengthen their team. It is of high importance that the candidate has previous experience. Responsible for the repair and maintenance of customer machinery and will work on a variety of machinery including Massey Ferguson, Fendt, Valtra, JCB, Kverneland and Honda. To maintain the company’s current high standards, you will have the opportunity to attend manufacturers training courses on a regular basis. You will also work alongside our very knowledgeable service team. As you will be working on and off site you will need to be very well presented and have impeccable customer service skills. We offer the opportunity to progress within a modern professional agricultural dealership, company pension scheme and an attractive salary subject to experience.

STORES PERSON – Working in a busy department, this is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the after sales operation. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in stores and have an agricultural background. It is also beneficial to have knowledge of our brands; however for the right candidate we would consider a high caliber individual without experience. The successful candidate will need to show ambition and initiative as well as having the ability to work well with customers and other departments within the company. Staff Profiles

James Reed – Service Manager

James spent his two week’s work experience from school at Clarke and Pulman when he decided he would like to pursue a career in Agricultural Engineering. From here he applied and was accepted to study for his BTEC Level 3 in Land Based Technology at Reaseheath College, Nantwich and whilst completing the final year in his qualification he returned to Clarke and Pulman to gain some experience on the job.

James received his on the job training with the service team of senior technicians, and spent the next year in the workshop servicing and repairing machines. After he graduated from college James came and worked full time spending the next 5 years both on the road and in the workshop working with Massey Ferguson, Fendt and Valtra tractors along with combine harvesters, balers and dryers. After gaining valuable experience out and about, James is now the manager of the whole service department at the age of 25.

Ged Clarke, Managing Director, added, “I saw James’ potential from the off, he had the desire to learn and the ‘can do’ attitude which is essential in our business. We are proud of what James has achieved at our company and that he is now able to pass on his knowledge and experience to others joining the company either as a technician or an apprentice.”

Jasmine Ellis  – Warranty Manager

Jasmine first joined Clarke and Pulman around 3 years ago in June 2015 as our service and warranty administrator. She was originally hired to work within the parts department but then after spending some time in the service department she took to the role and never left. Jasmine has recently been promoted to Warranty manager and now works with retail and PDI , managing the paperwork side of servicing for both our Burscough and Garstang Depots. In the time Jasmine has worked at Clarke and Pulman she has gained an unparalleled knowledge of service and warranty.

She described the role transition as very smooth and now deals with the complete process of service and warranty from start to finish, additionally encompassing the Accounts side of the role. Jasmine is not the only person to be promoted in recent months. With Chris moving to work at his family farm, James Reed has taken over as Service Manager, and joins Jasmine in the service department.
